I can`t wait this weekend to start binge-watching. I love this show! Another well-made DVD release for the second season of “BL”. The physical components are of high quality, with each series of episodes included in its own plastic cases, all housed in the cardboard sleeve. They even included a flyer for the BL! Classic episodes include: “The Black Widow” and “Schadenfreude” starring Heather Locklear. Denny Crane (Shatner) has beautiful moments in “Gone” where he shoots a homeless man who threw a brick at him with a paintball gun; “Race Ipsa”, in which Denny shoots his therapist, who threatened to shoot him! “Squid Pro Quo” is another crazy episode in which lawyer Marlene Stanger (Parker Posey) joins the firm and works with Denise Bauer (Julie Bowen). Alan Shore`s (James Spader) antics are too numerous to list here, but one of the classic moments is his fear of clowns in “Truly, Madly, Deeply.” Boston Legal`s two-hour season finale ends with Jeri Ryan in “BL: Los Angeles.” Overall, this season will be hard to beat and this DVD box set is a must for fans. весь отзыв It was an excellent series at the time and the second time it is just as good. Just enough time passed that I wouldn`t remember the episodes. It`s great if it`s a dead night on TV. Even with cable, HuLu and Netflix, there are some of those moments. This product was excellent I appreciate it, it`s a funny boston legal series It would be nice if they could come back with a reboot Why do I remember when I see William Shatner in the Star Trek TV series that he now plays in the Boston Legal TV show, but when I see Boston Legal, I don`t even think about his Star Trek days. ???? Recently, Tina and I watched several episodes of this Boston Legal.
Even though we have to go through all the political points of view presented in each episode, we love watching the series, especially the scenes of William Shatner! What bothers me, though, is that I never think of William Shatner as captain Kirk when I watch this show. I had that thought when I saw TJ Hooker and other shows William was playing. Maybe he finally broke the mold for me??!! Michael Criminal and Law Shows is a dozen of them these days. You can`t scroll through the channels without encountering some sort of legal drama. Because the market is so saturated, it takes a special type of show to get up and grab a viewer`s attention. Leave it to David E. Kelley; the man behind Alley McBeal and The Practice to develop Boston Legal. When the show began in 2004, the formula for success was already established.
The characters of Denny Crane (William Shatner), Alan Shore (James Spader), Sally Heep (Lake Bell) and Tara Wilson (Rhona Mitra) all appeared in The Practice and were adopted for their own show. In addition to Spader and Shatner, other big names such as Candace Bergen and René Auberjonois joined the cast as new characters in the first season. With such talent, it was difficult to fire Boston Legal and the show became a success. The basic concept of the show is to follow the lives of Crane`s key lawyers, Poole and Shmidt as they work on various office cases and skirmishes. This part is quite stereotypical for gender. What really breaks the mold at Boston Legal is the way the show behaves itself. Extravagant, disrespectful, self-referential and brazen are a few words that could be used to describe the behavior of the series. It`s a show full of laughter, great character development and a good quota of success stories. It`s easy to see why Kelley`s show became a hit.
There are a lot of great stories in this season like “Truly, Madly, Deeply, in which Denny shoots his client”, “Legal Deficits”, in which Brad and Denise go undercover to find a kidnapped child, and “Race Ipsa”, in which Denny shoots someone; this time his therapist. These specials are, in my opinion, the best of the best, but to be honest, the whole season is very strong. If you enjoyed the first season or even a single episode of Boston Legal, this is a set that deserves to be in your collection. When all the pieces fit together and something fresh and kind comes from such a simple concept, it`s a rare thing. It doesn`t happen enough on television, which makes Boston Legal special. Shatner, Bergen, Spader, Auberjonois and the rest of the cast are all brilliant here. There are a few moments in this season when the dialogue seems a bit pretentious, as if the writers want to walk on a soap box on certain subjects, but they are still part of the flow of the series. This season hits so many good marks that the few missteps are easy to miss. Be sure to check this out if you need a good laugh.
