Some people perform painful stunts with the help of their mental power; For example, pulling heavy things with your ears or tongue, standing on nails, etc. This technique can be used to overcome fear. However, they should only be carried out under the guidance of experts and after maintaining all safety precautions. Freeman Dyson, the eminent particle physicist, wrote: “I think consciousness is not just a passive epiphenomenon carried by chemical events in our brain, but an active agent that forces molecular complexes to make decisions between one quantum state and another. In other words, the mind is already inherent in every electron, and the process of human consciousness differs only in the degree, but not in nature, of the process of choosing between quantum states, which we call “chance” when done by an electron. “Spirit over matter” was also Mao Zedong`s idea that rural peasants could be “proletarianized” so that they could lead the revolution and China could move from feudalism to socialism through New Democracy. According to some, it departs from Leninism in that revolutionaries are peasants and not the urban proletariat. [7] To borrow an old right-wing topic of conversation, these people are angry no matter what we do. I don`t have any qualifications in biology or philosophy, so CIB readers may find some of the evolutionary documents in this article familiar to them, but for me, it was part of the unfolding story that shaped my understanding and led me to some conclusions. My thesis is that explanations based on current materialist/reductionist views of how experiential qualities evolved from inert matter are not convincing and that an alternative point of view offers a more economical and logically coherent presentation.
The article presents my rearrangement of material that is included or comes from references 2, 4, 5 and 6 linked by my own comment. For a better argued and ultimately more convincing presentation of the views of this article, the interested reader should study the references. There are a number of schools of thought that strive to explain how mind is derived from matter, assuming that matter is the only reality. Hypnotherapy is based on the concept of “mind above matter” because it uses hypnosis, or the technique of influencing the mind, to help it recover from certain foods and mental disorders. If the mind induces a change in the behavioral aspects of the body, the discomfort can be treated. Therefore, it is the mind that is most important and takes control of the body. It`s all in the head, they say. What our mind perceives as real is our truth, and what our mind considers evil is bad for us. The world is as we think it is.
Our attitude towards life is all that matters. Age, as Mark Twain rightly says, doesn`t matter if you don`t mind. Being young at heart helps you stay young throughout your life; Being young regardless of age is the key to happiness. The term “spirit over matter” first appeared in 1863 in The Geological Evidence of the Antiquity of Man by Sir Charles Lyell (1797-1875) and was first used to refer to the growing status and evolutionary growth of the spirit of animals and humans in Earth`s history. [3] [Page needed] A speculative teleological hypothesis is that evolution can be determined not only by worthless chemistry and physics, but also by a cosmic predisposition to complexity, connectivity, life formation, consciousness, increased consciousness, and value inextricably linked to these qualities. Our dominant scientific culture of materialist reductionism is highly dependent on traditional Darwinian explanations and resistant to alternative viewpoints. This has discouraged the scientific and philosophical mainstream from any alternative point of view such as panpsychism, even though this view is the most economical representation available to solve the mystery between mind and matter. Panpsychism does not need to explain how ontologically different a quality is, since consciousness has emerged from matter where there was none before. He also obliquely recognizes that purpose is inherent in all of nature.
The Merriam Webster dictionary defines mind as “the element or complex of elements in an individual who feels, perceives, thinks, wants and above all establishes”[1] and the mind over matter as capable; “a situation where someone is able to control a physical condition, a problem, etc. using the mind.” [2] He said, “Your whole body is in your mind, but not your whole mind is in your body.” By guiding a long sailor`s needle through his biceps without shedding a drop of blood, he proved that the mind can control the involuntary functions of a body. Today, the Aletheia Psycho-Physical Foundation continues its teachings. The mind is indeed a powerful device that is underestimated by most of us. Richard Bach`s book Jonathan Livingston Seagull tells the story of a seagull who dreams of overcoming physical limitations and learning to fly. He goes on to say that the spirit has enormous power waiting to be released. Unfortunately, few of us know this. Finally, it is important to assess the psychological impact on humanity of the currently dominant reductionist worldview.
It is not illogical to blame this materialistic way of thinking as one of the main causes of our current social, consumerist and ecological problems. Mechanistic materialism can be considered useful originally, a materialism that freed at least part of humanity from stifling theology and religious superstition, but now seems to have reached the end of its useful life. The rape of the planet`s fauna, flora and terrestrial resources seems to be permitted in a world dominated by a man-centered utilitarian/materialistic or religious worldview. This would be corrected if the material was accepted as an experimental quality. Panpsychism may be able to lay the groundwork for a new paradigm that addresses the fundamental problems of our expulsion from nature. In emergency situations, your body wants to give up and succumb to pain. However, if your mind is the controlling authority, you stand up and try to overcome physical limitations. There are success stories of people who were able to achieve what seemed impossible in the world, those who were able to live a normal life despite their physical limitations, all thanks to their strong will.
The plethora of rival theories gives a foretaste of the confusion that underlies attempts to derive the mentality from passive matter. It seems logical that for experience to emerge from something like matter, matter must be lived in one direction or another. It must be experiential in its essential and fundamental nature, regardless of what conventional materialism believes. However, this should not be attributed to nuclear consciousness in the way humans experience it. It is important to emphasize that this view in no way contradicts the fact that experience is associated with the firing of neurons. However, contrary to the dominant materialist view, it is suggested that neurons are much more than physics and neurophysiology. Another related saying, “the spirit leads the masses,” was invented nearly two millennia earlier in 19 BC. J.-C. by the poet Virgil in his work Aeneid, book 6, line 727.
[4] [Page needed] We all have an intimate knowledge of our conscious experience. There is nothing more concrete than the existence of this experience, hence Descartes` saying: “I think, therefore I am.” All knowledge, scientific or not, is transmitted to us through conscious personal experience, and this is the fundamental core of our being. The material and the experience seem to us qualitatively different; Hence Descartes` belief that mind (our experienced self) and matter are different and of a different nature. This is the philosophical principle of “dualism,” which asserts that the human mind is essentially immaterial and disembodied. If dualism is considered true, it is not illogical to consider the possibility that the mind survives the death of the body, a basic principle of many religions. The fundamental problem with dualism is that it has no convincing explanation of how the two domains of mind and matter interact.
