Off-highway vehicles, including but not limited to tricycles, quadricycles or other off-highway vehicles not specifically intended for road traffic, may operate on the emergency lanes of all public roads and highways other than interstate highways solely for the purpose of agricultural activities within five miles of a farmer`s operation, provided that the operator holds a valid Class “E” driver`s licence and a valid Vehicle Registration. Children under 6 years old are not allowed to ride ATVs. Operators under the age of 16 are not allowed to carry passengers. Anyone 15 years of age or younger who operates an off-road vehicle must hold a safety certificate attesting to successful completion of the off-road vehicle safety course approved by the All-Terrain Vehicle Safety Institute.
