Employees or travellers who test positive for COVID-19 should consult a physician and follow the instructions of their health care provider and local health department. If you are not vaccinated and are traveling to or from an Orange List state, you should be tested 1-3 days before you start your trip and again 3-5 days after you return to Chicago. Given the volatility of daily data reporting and the disruption caused by the addition of a neighbouring country to travel advisories, neighbouring states are considered on a case-by-case basis. Starting in November 2021, fully vaccinated travelers from the EU, UK, and other countries will be allowed to return to the US. Complete immunization is defined as at least two weeks after receiving the second dose of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine series, or at least two weeks after receiving a single dose dose COVID-19 vaccine. Fully vaccinated travellers should monitor their health status 14 days after travel, and if they notice symptoms that may be consistent with COVID-19, they should self-isolate pending clinical assessment and COVID testing. You should also continue to follow all recommended protective measures, including wearing a mask when traveling on planes, buses, trains or other public transport, hand hygiene and avoiding crowds. While safety is a top priority for the TSA, the health and safety of our employees and the traveling public is of paramount importance to us.

Here are some adjustments the TSA has made to security checks to make the security screening process more secure. The federal government currently has the following guidelines for international travellers to the United States. The TSA has 3,274 employees infected with COVID-19. These people stay home to ensure the safety of the travelling public. Since the pandemic began, the TSA has had a total of 15,644 federal employees test positive for COVID-19. 12,370 employees recovered and 33 sadly died after contracting the virus. We have also been informed that two testing providers have died from the virus. Check if your destination has any travel restrictions. If your destination requires certain travel documents, don`t forget to bring a completed copy to the airport.
