24. INFORMATION FOR CHILDREN: The NWF offers a special place on our website for children and we encourage parents and guardians to visit this part of our website with their children. We respect the privacy of children and do not collect more personal information than is reasonably necessary to enable them to participate in the activities we offer on our website. We do not have agreements with external organizations to collect personal data on our website. The information we collect from children is used to respond to specific requests from children to participate in activities such as contests or sweepstakes. We do not share children`s personal information with anyone other than those who provide support for the internal operation of the Site and with our agents (e.g., contractors who provide fulfillment or technical support services for the Site) and to support this contest. Parents or guardians may review the information we have collected from their children online, prevent further use or maintenance of that information, or request deletion of their children`s personal information by contacting us here: www.nwf.org/About-Us/Contact-Us. 19. GUARANTEE: By participating, the Participant warrants that his/her entry documents are original, do not infringe any rights of third parties and that the Participant has obtained all necessary permissions from third parties if a third party or the property of a third party appears in the photograph.
NWF reserves the right to disqualify entries if NWF determines, in its sole discretion, that any of the above warranties do not apply. NWF decisions are final and binding. 21. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: In no event shall the Companies, their advertising and promotional agencies, or their directors, officers, employees, attorneys, agents and agents be liable for any damages or losses of any kind, including indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive direct damages, arising out of the Participant`s access to and use of the Company`s websites or downloading, downloading and/or printing material from these websites. The Companies are not responsible for any problems or technical failures of telephone networks or lines, computer equipment, servers, suppliers, computer online systems, software or email failures due to technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or on any website, including injury or damage to the computer of the entrant or any other person related to the entry or uploading images or information to the NWPC; or result. Digital Entries: All entrants will first create their contest account, provide their contact information and create a password for their personal entry page. Participants must agree to these rules by checking the appropriate box. A youth participant must choose the youth category and, as mentioned above, obtain verifiable consent from a parent or guardian before joining the NWPC. All participants will then be invited to purchase one of three photo entry packages. There is no limit to the total number of images allowed. Additional packages must be purchased, there are no refunds or additional additions. (See below for more information on entrance fees.) Participants can then start uploading their images. General participants must enter each photo in one of the first seven categories (see below).
General participants can submit all images in one category or select different categories for different photos. The same photo cannot be submitted in more than one category. As mentioned above, participants must enter their photos in the Youth category. The Grand Prix, Readers` Choice, Natural World, Travel, People, American Experience, Modified Images, and Mobile categories are open to photographers 18 years of age or older. Individuals associated with the Smithsonian Institution, including staff, emeritus, regents, administrators, trainees, volunteers, fellows, research associates, and their immediate family members (children, parents, siblings, and spouses) and others living in their households, are not eligible for an award. The Smithsonian will determine the eligibility of winners in its sole discretion. Before you start writing the rules, take a second to plan your contest. First, ask yourself the following questions so you don`t waste time thinking about rules that don`t apply. Here are some standard rules you can customize to suit your needs for your unique photo contest: Each entry consists of a registration form and a single image. To participate, visit caltrout.org/photocontest to fill out a registration form with the required information, including your name, address, phone number, email address, and caption. and submit your photo according to the instructions below.
The answers to these questions will help you determine the rules specific to your competitors. If you talk to your participants in advance, they will know what to expect before, during and after the competition.
